Dear American Hero is funded only by those receiving the cards. Those who are receiving the cards are at this time, only 2 out of 10 are making a donation to Dear American Hero.

Our budget has grown to just under $20,000 a year. Printing of the cards $7,500 per 500,000 cards. Yearly USPS postage has reached the $9,000 mark. Challenge coins $2,000 and the rest is items like office supplies, bank charges, website hosting and misc.

I understand that many of us are experiencing very hard times. That is why I don't require a donation before sending out the cards. This mission has never been about $$ but it does take $$ to keep it going.

Myself and the Board of Directors take no compensation what so ever so every donation goes to keeping the cards, coins and CDs going out.

Donate if you can but don't let hard times stop you from requesting the cards. With your help we will make it through 2013 and onward to 2014.
